NCDC/NOAA daily High-Resolution SST blended with the observations from the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer infrared satellite.
This dataset (version 2) is a SST product that is developed at NCDC by using the optimum
interpolation (OI). The in situ SST data are blended with those from the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer
(AVHRR) infrared satellite. The analyses have a spatial grid resolution of 0.25° and temporal resolution of 1 day.
The Pathfinder AVHRR data are currently available from January 1985 through December 2005 and operational AVHRR data are
available for 2006 onwards.
